The sun and the moon.

     We know, the earth turn around the sun. It turns around in 23 hours 56 minutes and 4 seconds. This makes our day. The earth also goes around the sun in 365 days. This makes our year.

     The sun shines all the time. As the earth moves, it turns first one side to the sun and then the other. When the sun shines on the side of the earth, it is day there. When it shines on the other side of the earth, it is night there.

     There is life on the earth because it is not too hot or too cold and there is air.

     The moon turns around the earth as the earth turns around the sun. A month is the time the moon takes to go around the earth.

     The moon has no light. It shines only when the light of the sun falls on it. The moon is very different from the earth. There is no air on the moon. During the day it is very hot there, but at night it is very cold. Nothing can live on the moon.
