In April there is a day for fun - April Fool's Day. It's on the first of April. English children like this day very much. They play jokes and tricks on other people: other children, parents, friends, relatives, school teachers. One is to tell someone that something is wrong with his clothes when in fact all is in order. For example: "Oh, Ted look, your right shoe is on your left foot!!!" When the boy looks at his feet and sees that he has got he right shoe on the right foot, the one, who is playing the joke, says: "APRIL FOOL!!!" So children play different jokes and tricks. THE 1st OF APRIL IS A DAY FOR FUN!

The 17th of March is a national holiday in Ireland - St. Patrick's Day. On that day people wear a shamrock and send greeting cards to each other. A shamrock is a plant with three leaves. It is the national emblem of Ireland. (17 марта национальный праздник Ирландии - ДЕНЬ СВЯТОГО ПАТРИКА. Люди в этот день посылают поздравительные открытки и одевают костюм "шэмрок". "Шэмрок"- это национальная эмблема Ирландии, растение из 3-х листочков).

I want to tell you about The ENGLISH Year. In Great Britain the winter months are NOVEMBER, DECEMBER, JANUARY and FEBRUARY. The winter months a cold. In winter it snows and rainy. There are two spring months: MARCH and APRIL. Summer in Great Britain begins in MAY.So there are four summer months/ They are MAY, June, July and August. The weather is usually warm but not always. It is often changeable. Autumn comes in September. SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER are autumn months. Autumn is a very nice season in England.

My 7th post for you - Christmas Tree in Trafalgar Square.
Every year the people of NORWAY give the city of London a present. It is a big CHRISTMAS tree and it stands in Trafalgar Sqare. Also in center of London, Oxford Street and Regent Street always have beautiful decorations at Christmas. Thousands of people come to look at them.
My 6th post. I want to tell you about a happy holliday for many people. THE NEW YEAR.
We celebrate New Year on the 31st of December. Some weeks before this holiday people are very busy. They buy presents for their family and freinds. They send greeting cards to all their relatives and friends. On the Eve of the NY people decorate a NY tree with toys, coloured balls, sweets and little coloured lights. People usually have a NY party at home. Children love this holiday very much, because this holiday is full of wonders. Many children wait for FATHER FROST and SNOW MAIDEN, who brings them presents. When the Kremlin clock strikes at 12 o'clock, people with one another "A HAPPY NEW YEAR". After the NY party the winter holidays begin, and children have a lot of fun.
